Vacation photo #6
Hurricane Ridge with Banana.
On Tuesday Banana and I drove up from Port Angeles to Hurrican Ridge. We drove up in rain and fog, and when we arrived at the top, all the views were shrouded in mist/clouds/rain. There was a window of about 20 minutes where the clounds broke and we got some good views, and were able to get a few photos. This area gets over 100 inches of rain per year. Yes, you read that right. On the West slope in the rain forrest area they get even more than that. There was still snow on the ground just a quarter mile from where this photo was taken.

I'm glad you guys got up to Hurricane Ridge, although it's a bummer the weather didn't cooperate. When it's clear out, the scenery is just *stunning.*
There is some beautiful country out on the peninsula, but if you guys make it out this way again you should make a point to visit Mt. Rainier National Park. Just brilliant.
I'm sure we'll make it out there again. We are both open to living in that region, but those decisions are a few years down the road. We agreed that the next time we go out will get to Rainier and St. Helens (assuming it's still there!).
