Vacation photo #3
Banana, Leigh and Chris Hafner with Space Needle/downtown/Mt. Rainer in background taken at Kerry Park on the 4th of July.
Chris and Leigh picked Banana and I up and took us to lunch in West Seattle at the Alki Cafe. Chris and I had never actually met in person, though we have been conversing on the internet for a number of years (5 or 6, maybe more though I'm not sure). We share a passion for the Seattle Supersonics, and Chris is one of the most articulate and knowledgable fans out there. For me this was one of the highlights of the trip. I got to ride in a new Mercedes-Benz E350, meet a friend and his lovely wife (who thought it really doesn't look like it, is just days from giving birth to their first child - a girl), talk Sonics, learn about Seattle, and talk about cars. Chris writes about and loves cars. We found we both love muscle cars, and have a particular fondness for Chevy vehicles. We quizzed each other on our top cars of all time in various categories. I really think even if we didn't share a fanaticism for the Sonics, Chris and I could be great friends.

We had a great time too - it was great meeting you!
If you ever make it out this way again, I'll see if I can't have something with a small-block Chevy under the hood that we can "evaluate" ...
Chevy iron is always good. Hopefully it's not an 82 Impala though!
Big Chris
