According to the September issue of
Obstetrics & Gynecology,
a new study finds that only 14 percent of doctors are currently willing
to do abortions compared to 22 percent in 2008. The research, which was
based on a mail survey of 1,800 OBGYNs, also revealed that:

Female physicians were more likely to provide abortions than were male (18.6% compared with 10.6%).

Jewish doctors were the most likely to say they perform abortions (40.2
percent) and Evangelical Protestant doctors were the least likely (1.2
percent).

Among OBGYNs, 97 percent encountered patients seeking abortions.
