Cancun - is our honeymoon in jepordy?

Below is some info I collected today. Our Wedding is December 30th, and our honeymoon is January 1-8 in Cancun. We were very concerned with the impact of Hurricane Wilma on this region altering our plans. From what I am finding, it is looking likely that we will keep our plans, and head to Cancun after all! The first portion below is a report from the resort we have reservations with. Following that is some basic info on the hotel itself.

Last October 20th and 21st WILMA storm (category 5) hit the city of Cancun.

Imperial Fiesta Club opportunely put on practice its emergency plan to protect our members and guests, who stayed in the property when the storm took place, this measure helped us to avoid personal damages, which is one of our priorities.


Actually, the damages caused on the property by the storm were small and will not have further negative effects on its facilities.

We have summoned all our efforts to resume our regular activities to a 100% as soon as possible.

In order to keep you informed, this communiqué will be updated on a regular basis until we are able to resume our activities to a 100%.
